The Campaigns & Elections Reed Awards, named after Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed, are known as the most exacting awards in political campaigns, grassroots and advocacy. Work submitted for consideration in the 2021 award cycle was carried out in 2020, with political campaigns and professionals demonstrating new ways to reach voters amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspiring voter action with omnichannel, video-driven experiences

VDX.tv collaborated with Bully Pulpit Interactive on an awareness-based, video-driven, GOTV campaign (funded by the Democratic National Committee) to encourage voting by mail during the 2020 US presidential election in key swing states: Colorado, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Georgia. To deliver this video messaging across mobile, desktop and Connected TV devices, VDX.tv built an interactive VDX ad unit that showcased impactful video and reinforced the message on a customized canvas. A call-to-action of “Return your ballot TODAY!” boldly displayed on the custom canvas sought to drive users to take immediate action. In order to reach democratic constituents in key states, VDX.tv employed targeting using its proprietary, interest-based audience data segments.
